Kathy Schreiner

Kathy Schreiner has spent her entire career in the fashion industry focusing as a human resource professional. Throughout her career, she has worked for such high profile industry giants as Kate Spade, Polo Ralph Lauren, Bloomingdale’s, Federated Systems Group and Foot Locker. As head of several staffing and recruitment departments she has recognized the need to hire college students to build and develop bench strength and talent. She has managed many intern programs and has helped these students develop necessary skills to earn entry positions in the fashion world.

Kathy has combined her passion for the industry and her commitment to college students, serving as a mentor to many interns and graduates. During her tenure as Vice President of Human Resources at Polo Ralph Lauren, she developed and implemented their Executive Training Program. This program identified and selected top college graduate candidates to participate in a one-year rotational curriculum continuing their careers with Polo.

In addition, three years ago, Kathy along with the career Director at Parsons School of Design, formed a committee of HR professionals from across the industry to bring events to their students. These events have been designed to offer an inside and realistic view into the fashion industry.

Kathy has years of hands on experience working with top fashion talent and understands the challenges facing recent college graduates attempting to enter this fascinating and creative business.
